I've held many workshops at schools and libraries, showing children (and adults!) how to draw characters from my books using simple techniques that they can apply to their own drawing and storytelling. I have also appeared at events such as the Cheltenham and Oxford Literary Festivals, the latter as part of a discussion panel on humour in children's books.
Selected past events and appearances: Cheltenham Literature Festival, Oxford Literary Festival, Barnes Children's Literary Festival, FCBG Conference 2023, Henley Literary Festival, Bradford Literature Festival.

"Matty's Super Happy Magic Forest workshop is perfect for all budding illustrators no matter what their age. Matty has created an easy to follow draw-a-long and he helps you through the process with great tips for making your characters super magical and unique. Both children and their parents absolutely loved the workshop and we cannot wait to host Matty's event again."
