Hi I am Matty and I drew all the pictures on this website. Coloured them in, too. I am an illustrator and recluse based in Cambridge, England, and I have a First Class Degree in Illustration and a Masters degree in Children's Book Illustration. Most of my work is drawn by hand and coloured on a computer, but this will likely change when the felt-tip 3000 is invented. My first published picturebook, SUPER HAPPY MAGIC FOREST was released in September 2015 by Oxford University Press and a follow-up book, SUPER HAPPY MAGIC FOREST: SLUG OF DOOM was released on September 1st 2016. My third picturebook, Salty Dogs, was released in August 2017 in the UK.

I like robots, video games and ketchup but dislike carrot mash, writing bios and audience participation.

Do get in touch if you have a commission enquiry or are interested in having me visit your school or literary event. I have done numerous drawing workshops with kids on behalf of schools and libraries and am always open to doing more.

If you like my books and want to tell me then you too can use the email above but if you like the personal touch then you can send any fan mail to me care of my publisher:

I love getting fan mail but please allow a while for me to respond - I get way more than I ever imagined, and amazing though it is I still need to fit it around my work schedule.
